The art of listening, support and transformation
Welcome to my practice. I'm Jennifer Jacobs, a dedicated psychotherapist specializing in trauma-informed care with a strong commitment to understanding and addressing the complexities of intersectionality. My approach is rooted in the belief that healing comes from recognizing and respecting the diverse experiences and identities that shape each individual's life.
Trauma-informed care is at the heart of my practice. This means I approach each session with a deep awareness of how past traumas can impact your present experience. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you can explore your feelings and experiences without judgment. I understand that trauma is unique to each person, and I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs and experiences.
Intersectionality is also a core component of my work. I recognize that our identities—whether related to race, gender, sexuality, socioeconomic status, or other factors—intersect and influence our experiences of trauma and healing. My practice is grounded in the understanding that these overlapping identities can impact how you navigate the world and your path to recovery. I am committed to honoring and integrating these aspects of your identity into our therapeutic work together.
Whether you are navigating past trauma or seeking support with the challenges of daily life, I am here to work collaboratively with you, respecting your unique journey and providing compassionate, effective care.
